Equine Rescue, Rehabilitation, & Lifelong Sanctuary
Peaceful Pastures Ranch is committed to giving at-risk equines a second chance at life. We rescue horses from situations involving abuse, neglect, abandonment, or slaughter-bound conditions across the United States.
Once at our ranch, every horse receives:
-
Immediate veterinary care and nutritional support
-
Individualized rehabilitation plans that include emotional and behavioral recovery
-
Safe turnout and low-stress environments to encourage healing
We are a no-adoption sanctuary. All horses accepted into our care live out the rest of their lives with us in peace, safety, and dignity. We do not adopt out or rehome horses once they enter our program, except under exceptional circumstances of the perfect match and home.
This approach ensures that horses will never again face the risk of homelessness, neglect, or displacement.
Equine-Assisted Services (EAS)
While many of our horses are retired due to age or injury, a select few go on to participate in our Equine-Assisted Services programs. These services are trauma-informed and guided by licensed professionals trained in:
-
Equine-Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP)
-
Hypnotherapy and Somatic Healing
-
Emotional Regulation and PTSD Support
Our rescued equines become therapeutic partners, offering intuitive presence, nonverbal connection, and co-regulation for individuals seeking healing. In turn, the horses continue to find purpose, trust, and a sense of relationship with the humans they support.
Our Promise
Every horse at Peaceful Pastures is here for life. We believe that by rescuing horses and giving them a stable, loving home, they in turn become quiet healers for those in need.
At Peaceful Pastures Ranch, healing runs in both directions.

Community Outreach & Education
Peaceful Pastures also hosts small community education events and awareness campaigns focused on humane equine care, mental health, and the healing power of horse-human relationships. We aim to:
-
Promote ethical, lifelong care for equines
-
Educate the public about the equine welfare crisis
-
Provide safe, guided interactions for individuals new to horses
